My Definition September 19, 2007
In the cause of adding value to our website and in the never ending search for good content, I have been charged with the task of compiling a glossary of IT and tech-related terms. Not overnight, as this will be an ongoing project for the forseeable (indefinite) future.
The process has been started and I have learned very quickly that it is not going to be easy, with creative amalgamation of information from a wide range of sources being a very hard way to wake yourself up - I have decided that the only way to fit this into the day is going to be to do it first thing before anything else takes over.
The aim is to complete one definition per day on average every, day. Allowing for several to be done over the weekend, that should make for close on 500 entries per year. Shorter definitions could mean they could be added more quickly but we have plumped for 250 to 300 words on average per term as a happy medium.
