Bank Holiday Blues August 28, 2006
A couple of free moments to catch up today - it’s a Bank Holiday of course and here in the Isle of Man it’s also the first day’s racing in the Manx Motorcycle Grand Prix. This being a road race, it is very difficult to get around the Island so unless you’re involved directly or spectating it’s a good time to tackle jobs towards the bottom of the list!
Since the last update, the 20″ TFT we’ve been playing tennis with across the Irish Sea has been replaced again - this unit arrived about 8 days later than the next-day …
Further Developments August 8, 2006
The failed TFT debacle of a couple of weeks ago took another turn yesterday when the replacement screen supplied by the manufacturer under warranty also failed - this time after only 12 days! I guess we should be used to it by now.
Another is promised to be en route and should arrive in a day or two. It remains to be seen whether the second replacement can make it through the month in one piece. Funny how little things like this can colour your entire view of a company whose products you sell day-in-day out, when it …
Catch Up August 6, 2006
Spent the last 5 days horizontal, recovering from a knee injury. Vertical for the first time today, so playing catch-up today on everything that couldn’t be done from a laptop / sofa! Sundays normally fly by too.
