Weekend - wot weekend? February 26, 2006
Ended up unloading, booking-in and racking all three 5 - 6′ pallets of networking gear that arrived, a little later than expected, more or less singlehanded which was a change to the afternoon/evening I had planned. Dark clouds were threatening to empty their contents though, so speed was of the essence.
There’s now a head-high wall of multi-coloured cardboard boxes snaking around the edge of the corridor and it’s single file only. Some of these will be featuring here over the next few days as clearance items.
I’ve noticed a pattern forming over the last few days: plenty happens during the course of the day, every day, as it must but very little is retained in that part of the brain allocated to “remembering topics for blog”. Trawling the darkest recesses late in the evening to try and retrieve said items has elicited varying degrees of success, so I’ve invested in (/diverted from stock) a digital memo recorder - the idea being to quickly shout a few sentences into it between mouthfuls of coffee during the day so that the brain is less taxed in the evening! That’s the theory.
For now, I’m limiting my activity to adding a couple of amusing sites I like to the blogroll, comforted by the fact that I have great intentions for next week.
